How does nursing wear make breastfeeding easier? |
Article by Tracey Campbell |
Many mums feel awkward at the thought of baring their tummies in public, even though our community is supportive of public breastfeeding. To breastfeed in regular clothes, you need to unbutton or lift up your clothing to access your breast. This can make you feel awkward because it exposes your tummy and back. In cold winter weather breastfeeding in regular clothes can be very uncomfortable.
With specialised breastfeeding clothes you simply access your breast through a hidden opening in the clothing. There is no need to cover up with a baby blanket, etc. This makes outings with baby much easier.
So whether you are in your favourite coffee shop enjoying that well earned break and sweet treat, on an aeroplane, at a picnic or attending a formal function, you can discretely feed your baby through the hidden opening.
